• Our inter-schools sports competitions continued throughout the school year. This included Boys Junior and Senior Football, Girls Junior and Senior Basketball, Table Tennis, Draughts and Rings. Wexford were the overall school winners for the year.
• Portlaoise hosted the Regional and All-Ireland School Quiz this year. Carlow were crowned All-Ireland Champions.
• The Annual Swimming Gala hosted by Kilkenny School took place in The Watershed. Portlaoise were the overall team winners.
• The Inaugural South Leinster Tag Rugby Competition, in Memory of former Portlaoise Teacher Rita Fingelton, was hosted by Portlaoise in the Rugby Club. Portlaoise won the competition outright.
